Luau Testimonials

“What a wonderful cultural experience. While I must admit I haven’t been to another Luau, I will say that Toa Luau made us feel like part of their family. Cousin Billy was funny and made the night light hearted and enjoyable. The team from the greeter, to the band and the dancers, and all the way to the serving staff was wonderful. If you are looking for a smaller more authentic Luau I suggest this one.”

“We had so much fun at the Toa Luau. We felt like part of a big happy family. We highly recommend participating in this wonderful, educational and entertaining experience! If we lived here in the North Shore of Oahu, we would return again and again. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the people were welcoming. And the food was delicious!”

“We are on our second trip to Hawaii but first to Oahu and we have only been to one other luau other than the Toa Luau. This luau was an absolute pleasure from the beginning. All of the staff were friendly and genuine. We booked our luau for 5 people and 3 were not able to go because of an accident with their baby right before we left. We knew they wouldn’t be able to get a refund, but thought we would ask anyway. We didn’t get the money back but after telling our story, the manager personally made sure we got all of the food to go for the 3 people in our party that couldn’t make it and also gave us 3 lei’s to give them as well. We felt we were treated like ‘ohana. Not only that but the activities before dinner were fun and informative. The food and drinks were excellent, and the entertainment during and after dinner was exciting, energetic, and emotional. I felt this luau was high quality and very intimate. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will recommend this Luau to everyone.”

“Thank you so much cousin Pili and Dennis! Shout out to all the amazing staffs at the Toa Luau! Our family had a great time like we were part of your big family. Beautiful show and delicious food. We really appreciate all of you for warm welcome and accommodation. We want to visit again!”

“This is the place to go for a Luau if you want to experience an intimate, fun and family friendly time. Lots of activities for adults and kids. This was especially fun for me and my partner because we were picked to be chief and talking chief during their opening ceremony. You won’t regret choosing this Luau over a larger one. ♥️♥️♥️”

“Really cool experience. All of the presenters/performers really give it their all, and the night is laid out well. The music and dancing were top notch and very engrossing. The food was delicious and plentiful. On top of all of this, the drinks were good, and for a fair price. Thanks for sharing Polynesian culture with us!”

“This was the most amazing luau I’ve ever seen! I would HIGHLY suggest it! Everyone is so kind and the second it starts they are so interactive with you and your family (including the little kiddos). They are so family oriented! One of the lovely women remembered my daughters names and would call them by their names whenever she saw them! They teach you so much about the culture as well. And of course I can’t forget to mention the flame throwing! It was absolutely amazing! It’s an absolute must see! Do yourself a favor and get some tickets to this show because it’s one for the books for sure!!! Thank you so much to everyone at Toa Luau for all the amazing memories my family will have forever! A huge Mahalo!”

“My three sisters and I attended this luau last evening and absolutely enjoyed every minute! Dennis was a wonderful host and educated us on traditional Polynesian customs. The food was very delicious and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the dancing! I took 100’s of photos, so bring an extra memory card and battery if you’re into photography! It was an intimate experience with people who visited with us before, during and after the event!!! I hope to return with my husband for a special anniversary celebration which is embraced during the luau. Thank you, thank you, thank you Tau Luau and Dennis!!!”

“This Luau was fantastic! It felt like family from the moment we walked in! Everyone was so kind. My kids loved all the fun interactive activities! The entertainment and food were both soooo good! I’ve been to many different luaus and this is by far the best! I loved the intimate feel of this one. And it’s in the gorgeous wiamea valley, so you can’t beat that! My whole family said it was the highlight of their trip! Thanks for the wonderful time!”

“We just loved the toa luau. Definitely our best experience in Hawaii! I highly recommend it to anybody who is interested in an authentic experience of Polynesian culture. We really enjoyed learning how to cook ??? on the ground and watching the different Polynesian dances. The dancers were just exceptional, I’ve never seen anything like it before. Also, the food was outstanding. We loved the pulled pork and roasted bananas. The best $70 we spent in Hawaii!! You shouldn’t miss it!”

“My husband and I were so impressed with this luau. We went with our son who is 8 and we’d never been to a luau before. We went last Tuesday. This was our first time in Hawaii. It was great to get a flower lei and the cultural activities before the meal were so much fun. My son got to learn how to peel a green banana using a bamboo “knife” and watched how to peel and crack a coconut. The host for the evening, cousin Billy, was hilarious, knowledgeable and gracious. I didn’t have high expectations for the food as buffet food is rarely excellent in my experience. However, I will say that the food at this luau was delicious. Everything about this experience for us was 5 stars. I highly recommend this luau. I bought our tickets on their website, which included the $16 entrance fee to the Waimea Valley. Be sure to come early enough to hike up to the waterfall. It was a great value and a luau I would go to again if we are ever in O’ahu again. Thank you for a great evening Toa Luau!”

Beautiful Waimea Valley

Waimea Valley is an area of historic cultural significance on the North Shore of Oahu. The valley includes several historical structures including stone terraces and walls constructed during the time of the Hawaiian monarchy. Waimea Valley is breathtakingly beautiful, and was considered a location of spiritual significance by Ancient Hawaiians. O’ahu’s largest heiau, or temple, resides there, overlooking the valley. The rich soils and rain provided the resourceful Hawaiians of the area the opportunity to create one of the most prosperous farming communities in all of Polynesia.

The valley is also home to one of the most incredible waterfalls on the island… Waimea Falls. This is one of the best swimming holes in the world! Be sure and check out the Toa Luau Experience package so you can take advantage of the guided tour of the valley and optional swimming at the waterfall.
